What is the time committment like? I'm a busy person!
Our regular meetings are held once a month from September to May on the 3rd Monday. The more you are involved the more meetings you can attend, but one per month is the average.
What is there for my family to do?
In January our Lodge holds a Robbie Burns Night. Family and guests are invited this event that features bagpipes, Highland dancers, and an address to the Haggis! In March we have an Irish Night that features Irish Dancers and Irish Stew. All are welcome to attend as well. We hold a Cribbage Tournament in April open to the public with the proceeds going to our charity project for the year. In June we have a picnic at Assiniboine Park that includes a BBQ and races for the children! In July we have a Junior Deacon's Dinner that members may invite their ladies and guests to. In September we are travelling to St. Paul Minnesota with our families to visit our sister lodge, Ancient Landmark Lodge #5. This is a tradition that has been going on for 50 years! Also, in September we hold an Oktoberfest at our regular meeting that guests will be welcome to attend. In October we traditionally hold a special night to recognize our ladies for showing us love and support throughout the year! Finally in December, we hold our Annual Children's Christmas Party! As you can see, there is a lot for the entire family!
